This course is designed to support teachers in confidently teaching Irish (Gaeilge) in a practical, engaging, and effective way.

Grounded in the Primary Language Curriculum, the course takes you step-by-step through both planning and teaching, helping you to build lessons that support real communication and meaningful language use in the classroom.

You will learn how to create structured lesson plans, while also developing a wide range of strategies to support pupils’ learning across teanga ó bhéal, léitheoireacht, and scríbhneoireacht.

The course places a strong emphasis on making Irish enjoyable and accessible for all learners, using approaches such as cluichí teanga, storytelling, and interactive activities to build confidence and fluency.
