PleanĂĄil don Cheacht Gaeilge

Move beyond the textbook and plan confidently as Gaeilge using the Primary Language Curriculum and the téamaí as your foundation. Learn how to structure your lessons and build on them to ensure progression for your pupils. See planning in action, and view sample plans to help you in your teaching next year.

Module 2

Forbairt Teanga ó Bhéal agus Cluichí

Explore how to create an Irish-rich classroom and school environment where Gaeilge is visible, heard and used naturally throughout the day — not just during the lesson. Develop practical, structured approaches to building teanga Ăł bhĂ©al in your classroom. Learn how to increase pupil talk time, scaffold language effectively and create meaningful opportunities for communication. -Develop and gain access to a range of cluichĂ­ teanga to use in your classroom. These cluichĂ­ will be a mix of ones you can easily create yourself, PDF downloads that will be included in the course resources, and online websites will also be discussed and shown. -You will also get a bank of ideas to help yourself and parents build confidence in using teanga Ăł bhĂ©al.

Module 3

FĂłnaic na Gaeilge agus Feasacht FhĂłineolaĂ­ochta

Gain a clear understanding of FĂłnaic na Gaeilge and how to teach phonological awareness effectively. You will learn how to develop sound awareness through play-based, oral approaches, and how to build strong foundations for reading. This module provides a structured, progressive plan along with practical activities and resources that you can use throughout the year. A yearly plan for fĂłnaic na Gaeilge and Feasacht FhĂłineolaĂ­ochta, along with PDF resources will also be included.

Module 4

Gramdach agus na SeĂĄnraĂ­ ScrĂ­bhneoireachta

Learn how to teach gramadach in a meaningful and contextual way, without relying on worksheets or isolated exercises. You will also explore how to teach the seĂĄnraĂ­ scrĂ­bhneoireachta effectively and receive a whole school plan for the seĂĄnraĂ­ plus downloadable resources. This will ensure you are supporting pupils in transferring skills across the curriculum (traschur scileanna) in line with the Primary Language Curriculum.

Module 5

MeasĂșnĂș agus IonchuimsiĂș

Learn how to assess in meaningful and manageable ways. This module also focuses on ionchuimsiĂș (inclusion), helping you to support all learners through scaffolding, differentiation and structured supports.
